Brian C. Procter, M.D.
Brian Charles Procter MD was born and raised in the Metroplex. Following graduation from Trinity High School in Euless, he attended The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology at The University of Texas at Austin. After a brief career in Molecular Biology in Houston, he attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated with his Doctorate in Medicine in 1997. Dr. Procter completed his residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2000.
Following residency, Dr. Procter established Procter Family Healthcare in McKinney, Texas in 2000. In 2006, he moved to his present facility, McKinney Family Medicine. His medical interests include preventative medicine, chronic condition management, minor surgery, and psychiatry. In 2005, he established Nuvage Laser Medspa, and has become one of Collin County’s leading Botox and Juvederm providers. Over the past 7 years, he modernized McKinney Family Medicine using advanced healthcare technology systems in order to optimize the patient experience and deliver exceptional customer service. He is a leading consultant in healthcare information technology, practice management, and medical database development.
He is a Diplomat of AAFP, and member of AMA, PPN, and Genesis Physicians Group.
Dr. Procter lives in McKinney with his wife, Natalie, and their two children, Kaitlyn and Keira. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, hunting, fishing, and travelling with his family.
Beena Paul, MS, FNP-C
Beena Paul graduated from Texas Woman's University in May 2010 with her master’s of science in family nurse practitioner program. She is certified by the Texas Board of nursing through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is currently a member of AANP. Prior to completing her family nurse practitioner program, Beena worked as a registered nurse for 15 years acquiring a variety of clinical experience and skills. Her nursing career included cardiology, critical care nursing, Bone Marrow transplant, oncology , pediatric hematology and medical surgical nursing. She also worked as a clinical instructor for 2 years. She believes that prevention and early detection of diseases are very important in her role as a family nurse practitioner. Her areas of interests are prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
Beena lives in Frisco with her husband Wilson and their 2 children, Abiel and Christa. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling and attending church activities.
Vanessa Pickard, PA-C, M.P.A.S.
Vanessa was born and raised in the DFW metroplex and lives in McKinney with her husband and daughter. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2006. Vanessa graduated with honors in her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at UNT Health Science in Fort Worth in May 2010. Family Medicine and Pediatrics have always been her passion because she enjoys building relationships with each and every member of the family. She spent a year in clinical rotations where she experienced all aspects of medicine including surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and an extended clerkship in family medicine. She also has experience in urgent care where she managed patients with minor surgical complaints and minor emergencies.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, especially if it involves the outdoors. She likes to camp, go to the lake, ride ATV's and have backyard barbecues. She also has two dogs (a chocolate lab and a basset hound) who are considered part of the family and travel everywhere with them.
Erica Rios, PA-C, M.P.A.S.
Erica R. Rios was born in Dallas, Texas and currently resides in Lewisville, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s of Science with a Minor in Chemistry from Texas Woman’s University in December of 2004. She graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston December of 2008. Family Medicine is her primary interest at heart because she enjoys focusing on health promotion as well as seeing a variety of all ages. Erica is also fluent in Spanish and is able to provide Spanish speaking services to those patients who desire it. She particularly enjoys going to church and working out at her local Crossfit gym. During her spare time, Erica enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fiancé Jake. They plan to marry in the Spring of 2012. Erica is currently a Physician Assistant at McKinney Family Medicine in McKinney, Texas.
